What is a PDF file?
PDF is an abbreviation for "Portable Document Format". PDF is a widely used document file format developed by Adobe. A PDF file is a container that contains fonts, images, and other embedded document elements in a single file. The idea behind creating the PDF format was that the data contained in the file should be identically displayed and printed on different platforms. PDF allows you to transfer documents to different platforms and applications while maintaining their structure. Documents can also be encrypted and password-protected, and can also include seals and watermarks. PDF is supported on all PC platforms and on most smartphones. Sharing documents is easy with the introduction of the PDF format. PDF files are supported in ActCAD/TrueCAD and are often used in this application.
