What is an OBJ file?

An OBJ file is a file format used to store data in the form of object-oriented space. The structure of the OBJ file is simple and readable, it is saved in the form of a text file that contains information about the geometry of the object and three-dimensional geometric models in the form of a triangle mesh. In addition to triangle mesh data, OBJ files contain information about the vertices, edges, and faces of the model, allowing you to accurately represent the shape and structure of the model. OBJ can contain various types of data, such as variables, functions, classes, and other programming structures. An obj file is typically used to store application state or configuration data. This format is also often used to store objects in databases or for communication between different applications. In addition, the obj file is relatively lightweight and easy to edit, which makes it popular among creatives and designers. All of this makes it one of the most popular file formats used in object-oriented programming, and it is also one of the most popular file formats used in 3D printing. This format is supported by many 3D graphics software, such as Blender, Autodesk Maya or Cinema 4D and CAD design programs, such as AutoCAD, ActCAD, ZwCAD, or GstarCAD.

How to apply OBJ format?

To use an obj file, you must first create a corresponding 3D model, object, or data structure using your graphic design, CAD, or 3D scanner software.  in his program. You can then serialize the object to the .obj file format using appropriate tools or programming libraries. After the data processing, the object can be exported to OBJ format, which will contain all the necessary 3D information. Once the data is written to an .obj file, it can later be read and deserialized to
objects in your vector or CAD program.  This makes it possible to easily store and retrieve data in object form.
In conclusion, the obj file is a very useful format for storing data in object form and can be used in various areas of programming.
One of the advantages of the obj format is its versatility - this format is supported by most vector programs, CAD and 3D printing tools, which facilitates the exchange of data between different platforms.
This format is a tool that facilitates data management and allows for effective use of object-oriented nature in programming.

How do I use an OBJ file?

To use an OBJ file, you must first import it into the appropriate 3D modeling or CAD program. Then you can edit the model, add textures, materials or animations. After you have made all the changes, you can export the model back to OBJ or another format supported by the program.

OBJ files are also often used to exchange data between different 3D vector graphics or 3D CAD programs, making it easy to transfer models between different applications. This is very useful when working on CAD projects that require the use of multiple modeling and rendering tools.

In case you want to add a three-dimensional model to your website, you can also use the OBJ format. There are special libraries and tools that allow you to easily add interactive 3D models to websites.

In this way, the OBJ file can be used for both professional and hobby purposes, so as to create impressive three-dimensional designs. Thanks to its versatility and popularity, it is an excellent tool for all computer graphics and 3D modeling enthusiasts.

ActCAD is a modern CAD software for 2D drawing and 3D modeling as well as working with BIM objects based on the latest solutions of the IntelliCAD Technology Consortium.
Intelli CAD is a CAD software engine developed by the US-based IntelliCAD Technology Consortium (ITC), a consortium founded in 1999 and operating as a non-profit organization.
Special Interest Groups (SIGs) within ITC develop modules for CAD, BIM, DGN, Mobile, UI, etc. The IntelliCAD team professionally carries out the processes of CAD BIM software development, product testing, and constantly supports and improves the quality systems and products of the ITC Consortium members. ITC members work in different locations around the world and contribute to the development of technology in a cooperative way. The aim of this joint initiative is to provide technological support for software and service development to all ITC members worldwide. ActCAD 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 products are based on the successive development versions of the IntelliCAD engine, such as 6.6, 8.0, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4, 9.0, 9.1, 9.2, 9.2a, 10, 10.0a, and 10.1, 10.1a, 11, 11.1, 12, 12.1, and IntelliCAD 13
The latest version of ActCAD usually uses the latest IntelliCAD ITC engine.
