Fast pdf to dwg conversion

ActCAD PDF to DWG converter

Jak szybko przekonwertować pdf do dwg

Import PDF!

The PDF to DWG Converter integrated into ActCAD is a convenient tool for planners and surveyors. It allows you to quickly convert Portable Document Format files into editable form and then work with them in any CAD software. You can use our software to convert to dwg format and save it in any popular version. ActCAD supports dwg files in multiple versions (for example, 2018, 2010, 2008, 2007, 2003). After converting a PDF file in ActCAD , you can open the resulting dwg files in other CAD programs.

Fast PDF to DWG conversion:

The Portable Document format allows you to easily exchange CAD data and print drawings, however, PDF editing is limited, our tool will allow you to convert a PDF file into a DWG file that can be opened and edited in most CAD programs. Convert PDF files with ActCAD!

Download our software.

To download the ACT CAD software, go to Download pages and click on the cover of the selected version of the program or the button below it.

Install CAD

Once you have downloaded the version of the ActCAD software you want from our website, install the software in the location of your choice.

Create a new drawing.

Click File > New Drawing. In the dialog box that appears, select "DWG" as the drawing type. Then enter a name for the drawing. Start the command prompt and type the command PDF2DXF or PDF2CAD. Browse to the PDF you want to convert to DWG. Finally, click OK.

Select the Save Format File> Save As. or "File> Export As..".

Select "Save As..", and then select the format and version of the DWG or "DXF or DWT. You can also select "Export as.." to save in other CAD formats e.g. DGN, STEP IGE etc.

Program ActCAD PDF2DXF Converter is an excellent tool for engineering work that is standard equipment in the ActCAD family: Prime, BIM, Professional and Standard. ActCAD PDF2CAD Converter processes data from vector PDF files into editable CAD objects compatible with DXF/DWG file formats, which are then available for editing in any design software such as ActCAD, Ares, AutoCAD, BricsCAD, CorelCAD, Draftsight, Intersoft, ProgeCAD, or ZwCAD. They can also be used in surveying programs and graphics programs such as Corel or word processors that support import from dxf files.

The application recognizes elements such as: lines, polylines, segments, arcs, circles, ellipses, text descriptions, element colors and images.

  • In the video above, the conversion from PDF to DXF was used to convert a geodetic digital map saved using other CAD software as a vector PDF file.
  • As we can see, the whole process of opening PDF in ActCAD software, converting PDF and saving the received data into an editable DXF file, and then opening the already converted dxf file took only 18 seconds!!
  • The advantage of quickly converting a pdf file to a vector CAD file in CAD software is the fact that it eliminates the need to send a PDF file as a raster background along with the design file in the created CAD format. You don't have to worry about the correct linking of the pdf underlay, which causes a lot of trouble for some CAD software users.
  • A processed pdf file into a dxf and then saved as a dwg file is much smaller in size than a vector pdf file.
  • The PDF conversion process also eliminates the cumbersome of calibrating the PDF base, as the drawing obtained as a result of the conversion is already calibrated to the print scale. In the video we can see a drawing of a geodetic map, which was generated to the print size of an A3 sheet at a scale of 1:500. After the conversion, we obtained a vector image of the base map corresponding to what would be printed on a sheet of A3 paper at a scale of 1:500. Simply scale it up to get a dxf drawing in the actual units of measurement used in surveying.
  • The converted vector content can also be saved as a block, which is more convenient for some applications.
  • Compared to the above-mentioned programs, the PDF to DXF converter is available to ActCAD users for free!!

Test PDF Conversion

We invite everyone to test ActCAD solutions, which are characterized by increased interoperability compared to competing products. With many built-in tools such as PDF to DXF converter, we can say that our programs are interoperable tools.

ActCAD makes this possible at no additional cost.
